Yili receives social responsibility award

Yili Group won the Contribution Award for Social Responsibility from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations at the 2nd World Conference on Farm Animal Welfare (WCFAW) on Oct 24, becoming the first Chinese dairy company to win the award.

The conference aims to promote the coordinated development of farming and environmental protection, as well as encourage the international exchange of expertise and experience. This year's event was themed around animal welfare, quality products, and the future of the industry.

An official from Yili Group told the conference about the company's experience of raising dairy cows and the firm's efforts to promote green agriculture.

Yili, together with FAO and other international institutes, initiated the “World Farm Animal Welfare - Beijing Consensus” declaration at the conference, to call for improved animal welfare and the sustainable development of animal husbandry.

In recent years, the company has worked hard to improve the welfare of its cows, thus helping to ensure the quality of its milk.

According to Yili, the company will continue to promote animal welfare and lead the way in promoting the sustainable development of agriculture.
