Yili reports record growth for 2018

China's largest dairy producer Yili Group posted a record 16.89 percent year-on-year increase in revenues, according to the company's annual report released on Feb 27.
Yili said its revenues hit nearly 80 billion yuan ($11.97 billion) in 2018, with a net profit of 6.45 billion yuan, consolidating the firm's position as the top dairy firm in Asia.
According to Yili, it has 11 brands with annual sales revenues of over 1 billion yuan. And the annual revenues of its Ambrosial yogurt, pure milk and Satine organic milk have surpassed 10 billion yuan
The company's impressive operating performance results from its efforts to continually upgrade its technology, quality control, and supply chain management.
According to Yili, it is now a global food provider of liquid milk, milk powder, yogurt, cheese and frozen drinks.
As of December last year, the dairy giant holds 2,383 authorized patents, including 497 invention patents.
Yili's focus on innovation and breaking down technology barriers has helped the country's dairy industry develop rapidly.
Yili is an industry leader in China and has charted the course for the industry, helping improve the quality of food products in the country, said Shen Meng, executive chairman of Chanson Capital.
