Yili product scoops top innovation award
Yixiao Yogurt, a product developed by Yili Industrial Group, was honored as the Best Yogurt Innovation of the Year at the 2019 Dairy Asia Pacific Summit (DairyAP) in Singapore which ran from Nov 21 to 22.
The product edged out among 22 competitors from the Asia-Pacific region, for its high quality and advanced probiotics technology, according to the organizers.
Yili’s development team introduced their latest research in the field of intestinal health and probiotics at the summit.
A company spokesman said the past few years has seen strong growth in demand for milk and dairy products in the Asia-Pacific region, which can be attributed to the rapidly increasing population and emerging middle-class customers.
DairyAP is an annual event that gathers experts and industry leaders from around the region to share their insights in industrial development, as well as information on local dairy market trends.
More than 240 attendees learned about marketing strategies and industrial integration methods from their peers at the 2019 summit. The liquid milk industry and other related areas, such as packaging, farm management and ecological sustainability, were also discussed during the event.
The two-day event provided an effective platform for attendees to share their experiences and opinions on the challenges and opportunities being encountered by Asia-Pacific dairy companies.
